On March 29th and 30th, English Language Fellow and Lecturer of ESL at MNU, Luis Perea along with Olga Nesterenko and Olena Demchuk, Master’s degree students of English Language and Literature Department, participated in the META (Moldova English Teacher Association) International Conference for English Teachers. The venue was the Moldova State University in Chisinau.
Presenters from several countries, including Ukraine, Moldova, Greece, United Kingdom, Italy, Cyprus, Russia, Germany, and Turkey, attended the conference. Luis Perea, Olga Nesterenko and Olena Demchuk presented a workshop titled: “Item Test Specifications: How to Create Recipes for Language Assessments and Tests.” In addition, they published an article for the Conference Proceedings where they provided fundamental guidelines to create assessments. The conference covered the following issues: gifted and talented learners, CLIL, ELT for teens and outside the classroom, teaching students with social, emotional, behavioral difficulties, guides for grammar lessons, media literacy for teenagers, games to facilitate functional language retention, etc.
